USA Today provided article on gait examination and early detection of Alzheimer’s disease as physical changes in walking could be precursor to cognitive demise.  Quite interesting.  I don’t have original article but the researchers looked up stride length, cadence and velocity. Think we could be the ones screening for this in the future?

Another study on detrimental effects of sustained sitting (less than 3 hours a day could add up to 2 yrs to your life) with link here to Slate Magazine.  Bodies of literature are continuing to arise here lately.  Maybe I should cut back on my hour commute!  Good thing my job isn’t sedentary…
