Out with the old, in with the new

Patient education has always been and will always be an integral part of our profession.  Not only do we have more time (30-45 min for physical therapists depending on setting) vs 8 minutes to 17 minutes of direct patient time for physicians but we see them more often (2-3x/wk for 1x/month if that).

We learned this was a huge part of success from the beginning of our education and continue to work on it daily.  Changing with the times, I have moved out from the old and in with the new.

Technology is in—

I use my IPod Touch daily to show 3-D models of TKA, RTC surgeries, etc.  Its fast, easy, cheap and just bottom line looks good.  I know I don’t need it, but wonder what can be done with the new IPad. Now that will look good.
